Mr Charles Newman
General Studies Principal
Mr. Charles Newman is the General Studies Principle. He has a BA in International Affairs and Political Science from The George Washington University and Georgetown University Consortium Program, an MA in African Political History from the State University of New York at Albany, an MS in Education Administration Curriculum Instruction from the University of Southern California and an ABD/PhD in Education Administration Curriculum Instruction from the University of Southern California. He played college baseball at George Washington University. He is an avid Yankee fan and enjoys playing and watching sports. He has an eclectic taste in music and his favorite band is The Clash. Prior to working as an educator, he worked in the field of Human Rights for several years, researching/presenting foreign policy initiatives to Congress in Washington, D.C. He has 20 years of experience in the field of education having taught internationally as well as in the United States. Most recently, he has taught for 18 years in the state of Nevada. He has traveled extensively throughout the world. This experience provided him with a very tolerant perspective of the diverse world and allowed him to immerse himself in numerous cultures. He is an avid traveler and enjoys reading works of historical fiction and travelogues.
