Miss Myriam Cohen
Art, Middle School Torah Studies
Miss Myriam Cohen was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Las Vegas in 2019 with her family. She is currently in school working towards her psychology degree and plans to get her Masters in Occupational therapy once she finishes her bachelor’s. Her goal is to work with children with special needs and teach them how to navigate through this world by working with them to develop their fine motor skills.
Miss Cohen loves working in YDLV and showing her students the potential that they hold. Her favorite part of being a teacher is having a positive relationship with her students and having them know that she is there for them whenever they need her. Whether it’s teaching her 4th grade Pirkei Avos class the fundamentals of being a great Jew, to painting away canvases in art class, or storytelling the narrative of David Hamelechs life in her Navi class, and taking trips to the park with her PE class; Miss Cohen brings an enthusiastic energy into every grade she teaches.
Our mission is to create and maintain a superior educational environment that inspires in each student a love of G-d, a reverence for the Torah and its mitzvos and a lifelong commitment to the acquisition of knowledge.
Yeshiva Day School of Las Vegas promotes individual achievement, a desire, curiosity and thirst for all areas of knowledge, a positive self-image, a respect for individual differences and the development of Jewish moral and ethical behavior.
